01 — How it works

Three steps, one board, everyone watching.

Bring a wallet

Type a handle or take the demo wallet. Every new wallet goes on the board with 100, so nobody starts in the fog.

Pick a ship

Every pool is a ship on the horizon. Four are sailing today. One is docked, and it will tell you so.

Press mint

One to five per press. The beacon pulses, the board reorders, a receipt prints. Everyone sees it.

The ledger writes it all down.

Every press gets a line: time, wallet, ship, amount. No erasers in this room.

03 — The beacon

One press. One pulse across the whole board.

The beacon fires the same for a first-timer as for the wallet on the front page. Then it prints you a receipt, because you will want proof.

How it works

Helm Line is a lighthouse control room drawn in a lab notebook. Every pool is a ship on the horizon. Wallets mint on those ships, the standings move in public, and one wallet takes the front page each day.

Everything here is illustrative. Nothing is live, nothing is stored anywhere but this page.

The daily round

00:00The board opens. Everyone is equal for about four seconds.

All dayWallets mint on ships. Each press adds 1 to 5 and reorders the standings.

23:59:59Rank one takes the front page. No appeals.

Tomorrow againFresh board. Same wallets. Longer memories.

The rules

A wallet joins the board with 100.
Each press mints 1 to 5 on the ship you pick.
The beacon needs 3 seconds between presses.
Docked ships take nothing.
Rank is total mints today. Ties go to whoever got there first.
Rank one at midnight takes the front page.

When the beacon says no

No walletYou pressed mint with nobody on the board. Press D.

Bad handle3–16 letters, numbers, dots or underscores. It has to fit on the front page.
